Happy National Bird Day! Considering the day today, it’s appropriate that I talked about my recent trip to the middle of the state and New Mexico Bird Migration. I drove down to the Socorro area and grabbed a hotel for a few nights. Then each morning I woke up early to arrive at the Bosque del Apache area well before sunrise so that I could scout the lighting, clouds and of course the birds in the area.
My home of Arizona is in the midst of summer. Today is our 20th day of 110 degrees plus for the season, so needless to say; it’s toasty here. What better way to forget about that for a few, than by writing a blog about the Redwoods of California. The dense, fog-drenched, mighty redwoods.
