Let’s Take a Visit to Lacock England

It’s October 31st, which means it’s Halloween! Happy Halloween to everyone out there. Hopefully, you enjoyed a fun night trick or treating, or perhaps you got to enjoy a scary movie this weekend. Now, let’s take a quick visit to Lacock England!

While visiting London and Stonehenge this past March, I also stopped here. It’s a small village in the county of Wiltshire. The population here is less than 200. Some of the village’s recent claim to fame is the filming of a few of the Harry Potter movies, a series of Downtown Abbey and Pride and Prejudice.

Aside from a casual stroll through the village seeing some cottages and the old church, my favorite location was the cemetery. To me, it had so much character! Lots of lichen and moss cover the cemetery grounds, so enjoy photographing these! This particular cemetery was built just after 1860.

On a final note, of course, you have to visit the red telephone booth while here! It’s out of commission these days, but its still fun to see this nostalgic piece. Outside the cemetery, you will find this picturesque booth.

A blast from the past!

To complete my visit, I enjoyed a nice breakfast at The George Inn, which was established all the way back in 1361! At the very least, stop by for a cup of tea and check out their medieval fireplace.
